DAY 1 - Bangor, Maine

On the road by 6:30 am, this is Libby having a mid-morning snack of Dunk-a-roos. We drove straight to Woodstock, New Brunswick and stopped at McDonald's to eat and use the bathroom, then continued on to Bangor, Maine.
Lincoln about to doze off for his morning nap.
Us driving up front. Although I kept going from the back to front while we drove to see the kids or to feed Lincoln.
Libby doing some coloring...using her suitcase as a table
Finally she wore herself out and had to catch a cat nap! We made great time, rolled into Bangor at 12:45 their time (1:45 our time). So it took 7 hours, 15mins. with a 30 minute stop for lunch. And we didn't speed at all!

Day 1....

First stop...Burlington Coat Factory of course. Picked up a couple of things, but we decided we'll go back in the morning for more serious shopping. I have to say, the deals are outstanding this time of year. We went to Target and I got all my items of clothes for under $5 each....skirts, pants, shirts, can't beat that. Also at the Bath & Body Works, this week is their Semi-annual sale where most of their bubble bath, creams...are $5 bucks each and wall flowers are 50% off. And as it gets closer to July 4th, they put more and more stuff out on sale.....so I will have to keep checking in while we are here.
Olive Garden...well this is Lincoln & Mommy in our second outfits at Olive Garden. As we were waiting for our salads to arrive....Lincoln "puked" all over me! Three huge heaves of puke, which I managed to catch with my clothes, Lincoln's clothes and his blanket. Only the table next to us seemed to notice, mainly because Tim got up and was trying to wipe me down, before I walked out out covered in puke. We were seated in the very back corner, which was good, but not making the walk out to the front door. I ran back to the hotel, soaked our clothes, changed both of us and we were back before the salad was finished. Lincoln was good up until the "puking" and then great after the puking. So it was either the 7 hours of driving that finally hit him, or the peaches I fed him before we went to supper. Tim & I both decided to get something different other then what we always get "Chicken Parmigiana"...he ordered "stuffed Chicken Marsala" and I ordered " Five Cheese Ziti al Forno"....maybe that's where it went all wrong, should have stuck to our usually orders, and maybe Lincoln would have been fine like last time.
Tim & BearBear after the episode. Tim, couldn't even finish his whole meal, I guess we sort of lost our appetites...but it was still yummy what we did eat.

Round Two

Stage One....not so big this time, before they rise
Stage Two....After they have risen, that's why my first batch were so huge, I didn't know they would rise so much the second time.
Stage Three....all baked and drizzled with the topping...I think next time I will cook them a little longer to brown more. They were still good, second time around.

Libby's Comments on the Buns

Sin-na-buns

This is my first attempt at making cinnamon buns from scratch, not from a tube....Pastor Julia gave me her recipe and guided my through some of the steps. I was making them for a brunch on Saturday, but unfortunately they were too good and Tim, Libby, Duane, Kendra & I ate them. So I will make round 2 tomorrow....Thanks PJ for the recipe.
